SUNYAC Joins Twitter, Become a Follower

As the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) prepares for the 2011-12 athletic season, Assistant Commissioner Janelle Feuz has enhanced the coverage of the conference with the development of an official Twitter page.

SUNYAC fans can “follow” the twitter account, @SUNYACsports. The platform allows users to receive regular updates from around the league.

“With the redesign of the website last year and our facebook page, we felt this was an opportune time for us to continue to connect with our fans in a new medium,” said Feuz.

Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?

Twitter is a social networking and micro-blogging service that allows its users to send and read other users' updates (known as tweets), which are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length. Updates are displayed on the user's profile page and delivered to other users who have signed up to receive them.

SUNYAC will kickoff the 2011-12 season on September 1st with several fall teams in action around the conference.
