WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY - Plattsburgh
Stefanie Braun (Dix Hills, NY/Dix Hills), senior
Senior Stefanie Braun (Dix Hills, NY/Dix Hills) is the SUNYAC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week after leading Plattsburgh to a first-place finish at the 30th Annual Cardinal Classic as she was the top collegiate runner. She navigated the 5K course in 18:43, edging out the next runner by four seconds.

MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY – Fredonia
Peter Francia (Rochester, NY/Greece-Olympia), junior

Junior Peter Francia finished fourth in a field of 101 runners at the Buffalo State Daniel Walker Invitational to earn SUNYAC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week honors for the week ending September 4. Francia was the top Division III runner as he covered the course in a time of 27:00 as the top three runners all hailed from Div. II Edinboro University.
 
FIELD HOCKEY – New Paltz
Stacey Miller (Lindenhurst, NY/Lindenhurst), senior forward
Senior Stacey Miller (Lindenhurst, NY) had a strong first weekend for New Paltz leading the team to a 2-0 record to earn SUNYAC Field Hockey Player of the Week honors for the week ending September 4. Stacey scored twice in each game of the Drew Field Hockey Fall Festival as the Hawks downed Cabrini 3-0 on Saturday before earning the event’s title with a 3-2 overtime victory over Drew. Miller provided the game-winner in overtime, scoring in the 76th minute.
 
MEN’S SOCCER - Oswego
Brandon Comden (Holley, NY/Holley), freshman forward
Oswego State freshman forward Brandon Comden (Holley, NY) has been named the first State University of New York Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the 2011 season. Comden provided quite a lift off the bench for the Lakers during the Oswego State Men's Soccer Tournament as he was named the tournament MVP. Against D'Youville, Comden posted his first goal in the 87th minute. In the title game against Alfred, he assisted the contest's first goal in the 20th minute and went on to score the game-winning goal in the 86th minute to cap a come-from-behind victory. The Lakers are 2-0 for the first time since 2001.
 
WOMEN’S SOCCER – Plattsburgh
Kristie Pageau (Dannemora, NY/Saranac), junior forward
Plattsburgh State junior Kristie Pageau (Dannemore, NY/Saranac) has been selected as the SUNYAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week. Pageau led the Cardinals to a 2-0 start in the 2011 season as Plattsburgh claimed the title Cardinal Classic. She played a role in all three of the Cardinals' goals over the weekend on her way to being named the Offensive Most Valuable Player. Pageau scored in the 50th minute against Nazareth off a deflected first shot save before the Cardinals advanced to the title game on penalty kicks.  In the 2-0 win over Endicott, Pageau helped put the Cardinals on the board earning an assist in the 17th minute. She then added the insurance goal twelve minutes later.
 
VOLLEYBALL – Cortland
Sheena Asibey (Brentwood, NY/Brentwood), senior middle hitter
Cortland senior Sheena Asibey (Brentwood, NY) has been named the SUNYAC Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending September 4 after leading the Blue Devils to a 4-0 weekend at Cortland’s Red Dragon Invitational where she was an All-Tournament Team selection.  Cortland won the tournament title for the first time since 2006. The middle hitter had a solid weekend as she registered 13 kills in a win over Buffalo State and recorded nine kills apiece in the semifinals versus Nazareth and the finals against Skidmore. She finished the tournament with a .465 attack percentage (39 kills and 6 errors in 71 attempts). Asibey also added eight blocks and six digs in 13 games.
