“Several of the league’s schools already participate in events with Special Olympics so this was a natural fit for us,” explained SUNYAC Assistant Commissioner Janelle Feuz.
The SUNYAC’s first experience with Special Olympics New York will take place at the end of September at the annual fall SAAC meeting. SUNYAC student-athletes and advisors will come together and have to opportunity to meet Special Olympic representatives and athletes and share their stories about how athletics has impacted their lives.
