CORTLAND, N.Y. - New Paltz beat Cortland twice (11-3, 15-11) to win its first-ever SUNYAC baseball championship title, Sunday at Cortland's Robert H. Wallace Field. With the win the Hawks earned an automatic berth into the NCAA Division III tournament.
New Paltz's Tommy Kreider was named the Tournament MVP after accumulating eight hits, five runs and seven RBI with two doubles and a homerun over four games.
