Cortland Captures 2024 SUNYAC Field Hockey Title

CORTLAND, N.Y. - Cortland beat New Paltz, 2-1, to capture its third-straight and 18th overall SUNYAC field hockey championship, Saturday at Cortland's Stadium Complex. With the win the Red Dragons earned an automatic berth into the 2024 NCAA DIII tournament.

Senior Hanna Corrigan was named the SUNYAC Field Hockey Tournament MVP after scoring three goals and adding an assist in two games to help Cortland win the championship title.

Elite 20

The SUNYAC Elite 20, an award modeled after the NCAA ELITE 90 program, recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the conference championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers.

Gail Comiskey from New Paltz is the 2024 field hockey honoree. Cominskey is a junior digital media production major maintaining a 3.88 GPA.
