BROCKPORT, N.Y. - Geneseo captured the State University of New York Athetic Conference (SUNYAC) women's indoor track and field championship, its eighth overall and first since 2006. The Knights totaled 205.5 points over the two-day championship, Friday and Saturday at Brockport's Special Events Recreation Center (SERC).
Record Breakers
Triple Jump - Alexa Wandy of Geneseo set a new SUNYAC meet record at 12.30 meters.
Long Jump - Camille Wutz set a new meet record in the long jump at 5.88 meters.
Athletes of the Meet:
At the awards ceremony Saturday night, the SUNYAC honored both the Outstanding Track Athlete and Outstanding Field Athlete of the Meet.
The Female Outstanding Track Athlete of the Meet was awarded to Geneseo's Marissa Cossaro.
The Female Outstanding Field Athlete of the Meet was awarded to Geneseo's Alexa Wandy.

Elite 20
The SUNYAC Elite 20, is an award modeled after the NCAA ELITE 90 program, which recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the conference championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers.
The inaugural award for the Women's Indoor Track & Field Championship is Kristen Guarino of Fredonia.
