CORTLAND, N.Y. - Over this past weekend, the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) was well represented at the 2017 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships. Among the many SUNYAC athletes that competed, several national champions were awarded, including All-America honors. The championships were held at the Res Rec Center in Naperville, Illinois, with North Central College serving as the official host. 

U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-America honors are given to those who finish among the top eight in an event at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Women's Indoor Track & Field:

On Saturday, at the conclusion of the two day championship, Geneseo women's track and field placed 8th overall with a score of 21 combined points. Senior All-American Alexa Wandy led the way after sweeping the long jump and triple jump events to win a pair of national titles. Camille Wutz would also place in the top-10 in the long jump, finishing ninth overall. 

Senior Marissa Cossaro finished an All-America eighth in the 3,000 Meter Run (9:52.03).

Oneonta women's track and field tied 27th overall with eight points. Senior Meghan Serdock and junior Kayla Clohessy each finished in the top-8 in their respective events. Serdock was a top performer with her third-place finish in the weight throw to earn her first indoor All-American honor and second overall. Clohessy matched her seventh-place finish of a year ago to earn her second straight indoor All-American honor in the long jump. Her final mark in the event was 5.61 meters (18' 5"). 

The Plattsburgh Cardinals tied for 41st out of 70 teams with five points. Senior Stephanie Boucher became the seventh indoor track and field All-American in Cardinals' women's program history following a fourth-place finish in the 800-meter run (2:13.30).
