SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC has selected New Paltz's Antonio Vavelle as its Men's Swimmer of the Week while Geneseo's Trent Makowiec was named the Diver of the Week for the ninth time this season.

Vavalle helped the Hawks to a dual-meet win over Oneonta on Saturday. He placed first in the 200-and 500-freestyle with times of 1:49.54 and 4:59.89, respectively, while also aiding in a first-place finish in the men's 800 freestyle relay with a time of 7:24.08.

Makowiec capped off his undefeated season this past weekend at a diving Invitational at Ithaca where he placed first in both the 1 and 3 meter dives with scores of 572.70 and 612.60, respectively.
