CORTLAND, N.Y. – Geneseo's head cross country coach Mike Woods has been selected as both the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Men's and Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year. The awards are voted on by the conference coaches.
 
In his final season before retiring, Woods led both the men and women to the SUNYAC Championship title. This brings his total SUNYAC team Championship victories to 26 (14 women, 12 men), while 15 individuals (10 women, five men) have run to 20 SUNYAC Championships.
 
This is the 10^th time Woods has been selected as the SUNYAC Coach of the Year in men's cross country (2000, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014).
 
On the women's side, this is the 12^th time overall Woods has been honored as the coach of the year. (2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014).
 
Woods has also been honored at the SUNYAC Track and Field Coach of the Year six times.
