SYRACUSE, N.Y. - For the second time this season, Potsdam's Jakia Howard has been selected as the SUNYAC Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week.

Howard powered Potsdam to a nine-point victory over Russell Sage College, 60-51, on Tuesday afternoon. Howard registered her third double-double of the season in four games, scoring 26 points and hauling in 10 rebounds in 26 minutes. She shot a season-best 58.8 percent from the field and was a perfect 2-2 from 3-point range. With the conclusion of the game, Howard is now only 80 points shy of surpassing 1,000 career points at Potsdam.
