SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC picks Buffalo State's Tashawni Cornfield as its Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week for the week ending December 17.

Cornfield was a star on offense and defense for Buffalo State last week, averaging 17.0 points per game and 5.0 rebounds per game, while also totaling 11 steals and four assists. The junior guard scored 26 points on 50% shooting and grabbed eight rebounds and five steals to lead the Bengals to a 70-40 victory over Hilbert on Tuesday evening. She then scored eight points, had six steals, and one block against Alfred State on Saturday afternoon.
