SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The SUNYAC recognizes New Paltz's Brianna Fitzgerald as the Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week for the third time this season.

Fitzgerald led the Hawks to a 3-0 week including a huge game against Cortland to re-take the top spot in the SUNYAC. Fitzgerald secured her sixth double-double of the season with a game-high 28 points and a career-high 15 rebounds with three assists, three steals and a block to lead her team to an 80-72 road win. In a blowout victory over Buffalo State, Fitzgerald scored 11 points on 5-for-9 shooting in 18 minutes with five rebounds, four assists, three steals and one block and in another blow out win over Fredonia, registered 15 points in 19 minutes, shooting 5-for-9 with four rebounds, three assists and two steals. She ended the week, averaging 18 points, eight rebounds, 3.3 assists, two steals and a block per game in 25.3 minutes per game.
