SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The SUNYAC picks Brockport's Jared Smith as the first Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week for the 2024 season and Brockport's Matthew Jackson as the Field Athlete of the Week.

At the Geneseo Early Season Invitational on Saturday, Smith turned in an excellent performance in the men's 5k, finishing first overall with his 14:38.67 personal best time. Smith's 14:38.67 mark was just one second off the program record.

At the Geneseo Early Season Invite on Saturday, Jackson rolled to a comfortable win in the men's hammer throw, recording a long mark of 58.15m.
