Jensen and Kaires Named Men's Track and Field Athletes of the Week
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC picks Geneseo's Lance Jensen as the Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week and Cortland's Nick Kaires the Field Athlete of the Week.
Jensen competed at the Penn Relays on Thursday and was the top Division III finisher in the 400 hurdles in 11th place overall with a time of 52.73. Jensen's time is good enough for seventh fastest in Division III this season.
Kaires finished second in the discus at the Cornell Big Red Invitational on Sunday with a toss of 46.73 meters, an AARTFC qualifier. Earlier in the week at the Cortland CNY College Challenge, Kaires posted two AARTFC marks with his win in the discus (46.07 meters) and his third-place effort in the hammer throw (50.57 meters).
