
Geneseo Takes 2024 SUNYAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championship Title
GENESEO, N.Y. - Geneseo took home the 2024 SUNYAC men's outdoor track and field championship with 235.33 points, Saturday at Geneseo's Track. This is their sixth-straight and 11th overall SUNYAC men's outdoor track and field title. Cortland finished second while Brockport was third.
Awards
The SUNYAC Most Valuable Performer is awarded to the athlete with the most combined points at the SUNYAC two-day championship meet. This year, Cortland's Isaiah Brunache earned this recognition. The Most Outstanding Performance will be voted on by the coaches and announced next week.
The All-Conference first, second and third teams consist of the top three finishers in each event.
Elite 20
The SUNYAC Elite 20, an award modeled after the NCAA ELITE 90 program, recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the conference championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers. This year four athletes, all maintaining a 4.00 cumulative GPA, were honored.
