Jones and Jackson Tabbed SUNYAC Men's Track and Field Athletes of the Week
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The SUNYAC picks Cortland's Aaron Jones and Brockport's Matthew Jackson as the Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week respectively.
Jones won the 110-meter hurdles and finished second of 60 in the 200-meter dash at the Cortland Classic. His times of 14.42 seconds in the hurdles and 21.85 seconds in the 200 meters are both AARTFC qualifiers, and his hurdles time is tied for 15th nationally in Division III and first in the SUNYAC as of Sunday evening.
At the Geneseo Quad Meet, Jackson rolled to a comfortable win in the men's hammer throw, recording a long throw of 57.75m.
