On the men's side the SUNYAC fills the top three spots in the East Region rankings with the College at Brockport at number one followed by Geneseo, and SUNY Plattsburgh. Brockport is led by senior guard John Ivy who just broke Brockport's all-time scoring record Saturday versus Potsdam. Geneseo who is ranked number two in their region has two great players including junior Gordon Lyons who was just named as one of the Capital One Academic All District-1 honoree's, and senior Connor Fedge who just topped 1,000 points total for his career. SUNY Plattsburgh is the last SUNYAC school ranked in the East Region at number three. SUNY Plattsburgh has four athletes who are averaging double digit points this season which have helped make them a threat this year.
For the women, both Buffalo State and SUNY Plattsburgh have made the rankings in the East Region. Buffalo State is ranked number four in the region which is led by Staci McElroy, and Bianca Smiley. SUNY Plattsburgh is at number five and comes in as the only SUNYAC school to be ranked in both the men's and women's NCAA regional rankings. Kathleen Payne continues to impress in her senior year as she leads the Cardinals in points per game and rebounds.
