Shaddock and Abbott Reach SUNYAC and NCAA Milestone

Tuesday, April 17, marked a milestone in SUNYAC and NCAA women’s lacrosse history as two players reached 400 career points.  Buffalo State’s Karen Shaddock and Cortland’s Lindsay Abbott became only the fourth and fifth Division III student-athletes to score 400 points or more in a career and the first two ever to do so in the conference.

Shaddock tallied a school-record 10 goals and tied the school's mark for points in a game with 12 to lead Buffalo State to a decisive 17-11 victory over visiting Geneseo at Coyer Field. Shaddock, who entered the game with 394 career points, became the first Bengal to score 400 career points.

Abbott scored seven points on four goals and three assists and became the first player in Cortland history to surpass 400 career points as the nationally second-ranked Red Dragons defeated Potsdam, 22-1, at the SUNY Cortland Stadium Complex. Abbott improved her career numbers to 401 points on 235 goals and 166 assists.
