CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected its Athlete, Rookie, and Goalie of the week for men's ice hockey. This week's Athlete of the Week is sophomore Nick Devito from Morrisville. Goalie of the Week is the senior Ian Sylves from Buffalo State. Rookie of the Week goes to Scott Donahue from Cortland.

Devito led Morrisville State to a 2-0 sweep of SUNY Canton over the weekend, posting a combined six goals and two assists. The sophomore started the weekend with one goal, two assist performance, scoring the eventual game-winning goal late in the second period in the 5-3 win. He then turned in a collegiate best performance on Saturday, netting all five goals as Morrisville State captured another 5-3 victory over SUNY Canton. Three of his tallies came on the power play, wrapping up the weekend with two game-winning goals.

Sylves allowed just one goal on 49 shots in the two SUNYAC victories over the weekend. He made 22 saves in Friday's 7-1 win over Plattsburgh, allowing the only goal late in the game while his team was on a two-man disadvantage. He then stopped all 26 shots faced for his second career shutout in a 5-0 win against Potsdam on Saturday.

This is Donahue second rookie of the week award this year. He picked up a goal and two assists as Cortland knocked off nationally ranked Geneseo, 4-3, in OT Saturday night. Donahue assisted on Cortland's first goal in the first period, he gave the Red Dragons a 2-1 lead late in the second period with his fifth goal of the season and assisted on the game-winner 54 seconds into overtime.
