SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC has selected Plattsburgh's Nick Cergol and Oswego Kieran Finnegan as this week's Baseball Athlete and Pitcher of the Week.

Cergol's three-run home run in the top of the seventh led Plattsburgh to their first win of the year against SUNY Maritime (4-3), as the junior third baseman blasted his first career homer to give his team the lead. Cergol also had a hit in game two to go 2-6 on the day with three RBIs.

In #15 Oswego's opening weekend, ace Finnegan started right where he left off last year. Against Washington & Jefferson University, Finnegan pitched 6.0 innings, allowed only three hits, had a strikeout per nine innings average of 13.50 and finished the contest with nine strikeouts.
