CORTLAND, N.Y. - Three teams remain after the second day of the SUNYAC baseball championship tournament concluded on Friday at Cortland's Robert H. Wallace Field.
In the first game of the day Brockport beat Cortland, 6-1. Oswego eliminated Oneonta with a 9-6 win in 11 innings in the second game.
Cortland and Oswego will play at noon on Saturday and Brockport will take on the winner of that game at 3:30 p.m. Full Schedule
Elite 20
The SUNYAC Elite 20, an award modeled after the NCAA ELITE 90 program, recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the conference championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers. This year the Baseball Elite 20 award went to Oneonta's Thomas Skoczek with a 3.96 overall GPA as a Biochemistry major.
