SYRACUSE, N.Y.- The SUNYAC has selected Brockport's Zach Eldred as the Baseball Athlete of the Week while Oneonta's Sean Liquori was picked as the Pitcher of the Week.

Eldred got on base at least three times in three straight games for the Golden Eagles during their trip to Virginia this past weekend. In the team's first game he drew three walks and stole one base. The next outing he batted 3-for-5 in a win over Franklin & Marshall. In the game he hit two singles, one triple, had one RBI, scored a run, and stole another base. In the final game of the set he was 3-for-3 at the plate in a win over #15 Marietta. He connected for two doubles, a single, had one RBI, scored a run, and drew a walk. Five games into the season Eldred is hitting .429 with a .550 on base percentage.

Senior Liquori started and pitched 6.0 innings in the 4-1 win over Cobleskill on Friday. Liquori threw 74 pitches and struck out seven batters while only giving up one hit and one run. He finished the game with a 1.50 ERA.
