Walsh and Wagner Tabbed Men's Lacrosse Athletes of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Potsdam's Peyton Walsh and Cortland's Travis Wagner have been picked as the SUNYAC Men's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week respectively.

Walsh helped the Bears to a 2-0 record in their Spring Break trip to Pennsylvania. Potsdam's captain recorded a career-high eight points on six goals and two assists in a 14-12 win at Neumann University on Monday. On Wednesday he led the Bears again with five goals in a 15-9 victory at Moravian University. Walsh currently leads the SUNYAC in goals (13) and is second in the conference in points (15).

Wagner posted a 2-0 record with a 3.21 GAA, 19 saves and a .792 save percentage for the Red Dragons (4-0) last week. In a win against Lasell on Friday, Wagner allowed just one goal and stopped six shots in 45 minutes of action. He then registered 13 saves and surrendered only four goals in 48:30 as Cortland defeated Washington College on the road on Sunday. For the season, Wagner has posted a 4-0 record with a 6.78 GAA and a .652 save percentage.
