Armetta and Wagner Tabbed SUNYAC Men's Lacrosse Athletes of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - New Paltz's Thomas Armetta and Cortland's Travis Wagner have been selected as the SUNYAC Men's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week respectively.

Armetta led the Hawks offensively with five points in a 14-12 win over Potsdam, the first ever over the program with two goals and three assists, while adding a ground ball and a caused turnover. Armetta also registered his 100th career point in the win.

Wagner posted a 2-0 record with a 3.73 GAA, 24 saves and an .800 save percentage last week for Cortland. In a 13-7 home victory versus Ithaca on Wednesday, Wagner tied his career high with 18 saves, allowing just four goals in 56:52. On Saturday, he stopped six shots and surrendered only two goals in 39:34 as Cortland defeated Oneonta, 17-8, on the road on Saturday. For the season, Wagner has posted a 9-4 record with a 9.75 GAA, 174 saves and a .598 save percentage.
