Eiser and McCrosson Named SUNYAC Women's Soccer Athletes of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The SUNYAC has selected Rachel Eiser (New Paltz) and Madeline McCrosson (Brockport) as this week's Women's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week respectively.

Eisert made history this week, breaking the Hawks' all-time record for both points and goals, while also becoming the team's single-season leader for both categories. Against Oneonta, she netted the game's second goal, which tied the single-season and career-record of goals before she officially became the sole record holder after scoring her second of the day in the 61st minute that pushed her to 12 goals on the season. She also became the all-time career leader with 26 goals. Her day wasn't finished though, as she added an assist to lead her team with two goals and an assist, which brought her single-season point total to 31, breaking the previous record that was set in 2012 of 28 Eisert also set a new all-time points record of 67 through just three seasons, surpassing the record of 64, also set back in 2012.

McCrosson recorded her seven and eighth clean sheet during last week's action for Brockport, as the team went 1-0-1 in a pair of conference matchups. She made six saves in a 1-0 shutout win over Fredonia. McCrosson came back with six more stops in a 0-0 draw against Cortland. The Golden Eagles are now 11-2-3 overall and 3-1-3 in SUNYAC play.
