SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC is pleased to recognize New Paltz's Rachel Eisert as the 2023 Women's Soccer Scholar Athlete of the Year. This award is nominated and voted on by the conference sports information directors. 

Eisert had a perfect 4.0 in the fall semester with a cumulative average of 3.87 as a communication disorders major. The junior was the SUNYAC Offensive Player of the Year, named First-Team All-SUNYAC, named to the College Sports Communicator's Academic All-District team and was the team's first United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American. She broke records for single-single goals (12), single-season points (31) and became the team's all-time leader in both those categories in just her third season, while sitting second in assists and was two assists shy of breaking the single-season assist record as well.
