SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC honors Plattsburgh teammates Avery Durgan and Lauren Haley as the Women's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week respectively.

Durgan scored both game-winning goals for Plattsburgh last week, helping the Cardinals vault up to the No. 3 seed in the conference with two wins. On Wednesday, Durgan notched a first-half score against the Red Dragons, putting the Cards up early and leading them to the win. Against the Knights on Saturday, the Plattsburgh native scored once again, netting a goal in the 83rd minute to help give the Cardinals a dramatic road win over Geneseo.

Haley posted two shutout wins last week, helping to vault the Cardinals to the third seed in the SUNYAC tournament. She first posted a four-save shutout against Oneonta, clinching a playoff spot for Plattsburgh on Wednesday against Oneonta. She followed that up on Saturday with a six-save shutout versus the defending SUNYAC champs, Geneseo, as the Cardinals defeated the Knights on the road 1-0, their first win over them since 2015.
