BUFFALO, N.Y. - The 2024 SUNYAC Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships kicked off Wednesday at the Burt Flickinger Aquatic Center at Erie Community College (ECC). The championship will continue Thursday with prelims at 10 a.m. and finals at 5:30 p.m.
Record Breakers
The Geneseo women's 200 yard medley relay team of Courtney Sorbello, Kenzie Fischer, Alise Hale and Alex Sotek broke the SUNYAC conference and meet record after taking the title in a time of 1:42.82.
Champions
The Geneseo men's 200 yard medley relay team of Griffin Merkling, Jake Nielsen, Ben Ludlow and Jordan Nielsen touched the wall first in 1:29.36.
Geneseo's Trent Makowiec won the men's 3-meter dive SUNYAC title with 546.65 points.
The Knights men's 800 yard freestyle relay team of Christopher Weber, Casey Connors, Gannon Moore and Charlie Wangelin won in a time of 6:50.77 while the women's team of Amaya Digiovanni, Madi Sargent, Abby Funk and Hannah Brockman touched the wall first in 7:41.06.
