Five Teams Volunteer at Canton’s Trunk or Treat Event

Canton, NY – Five SUNY Canton athletic teams took a break from their practices to volunteer at SUNY Canton's Trunk or Treat event on campus on Friday, October 25th.
The SUNY Canton baseball, softball, cheerleading and women's basketball and soccer teams spent roughly two hours on Friday evening setting up vehicles and decorating them while passing out candy to hundreds of local children and the community.
The successful annual event is run by SUNY Canton's Early Childhood program and spearheaded by Maureen Powers-Maiocco and Christina Martin. They estimate that nearly 500 children and their families attended the event.
