The SUNYAC Elite 20, an award modeled after the NCAA ELITE 90 program, recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the conference championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers.
This year for softball, there was a tie with both athletes maintaining a 4.00 cumulative GPA. Buffalo State's Lexi Quagliana is a sophomore mathematics education and Plattsburgh's Megan Pillus is a junior majoring in childhood education.
New Paltz's junior Xavier Zykoff is the 2025 SUNYAC baseball Elite 20 winner. He holds a 3.93 GPA as a marketing and general business major.
