Rossini and Maby Earn SUNYAC Men's Wrestling Weekly Awards
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC selects Oswego's Tyler Rossini as its Men's Wreslter of the Week and Oneonta's Jackson Maby as the Men's Wrestling Rookie of the Week for the fourth straight week.
On Sunday, the Lakers took on Keystone first at Lycoming College. Tyler took down his opponent by pinfall in 3:48. Against Lycoming, He won by tech fall, 19-4 for his second win of the afternoon. His overall record improved to 13-4 so far this season.
Maby finished the week 2-0 with a pair of tech falls to help Oneonta go 2-0 in their home tri-match. In the team's 27-21 win against WPI, Maby recorded a 15-0 tech fall in 3:57 over WPI's Mason Medina. He then scored a 19-3 tech fall in 4:36 against Utica's Rian Kirker as the Red Dragons went on to defeat the Pioneers, 49-6.
