SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC has selected Ella Wittman from Buffalo State and Mikenzie Martens from Cortland as this week's Women's Volleyball Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week.

Wittman was the top offensive performer in a 3-1 week for Buffalo State, recording 46 kills across four matches, while also pitching in 47 digs to help the Bengals' defense. In a three-set sweep of Pitt-Bradford on Tuesday, the freshman outside hitter recorded eight kills and seven digs. She then had seven kills and nine digs in another sweep on RIT on Friday. Against Rochester on Friday evening, Wittman tallied 12 kills and a career-high 19 digs, then had a career day against Keuka on Saturday, recording 19 kills and 12 digs. For her performance, she was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Rochester Tournament.

Martens averaged five digs per set during a 2-1 weekend for the Red Dragons at the Kean Invitational. She posted 28 digs in a four-set win over Kean and 22 digs in a five-set victory against Springfield. In Martens added four aces, 11 assists and had just one error on 57 receptions overall.
