Brockport's Thompson and Sullivan Earn SUNYAC Volleyball Athlete of the Week Awards

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Brockport teammates Jordan Thompson and Brooklyn Sullivan have been named the SUNYAC Volleyball Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week respectively.

Thompson repeats as the SUNYAC Women's Volleyball Offensive Athlete of the Week for a third week in a row. Thompson led the Brockport attack in back-to-back sweeps against conference opponents over the weekend. She finished with 12 kills and a .308 hitting percentage in a 3-0 win over Fredonia. She followed up with 15 kills, three aces, and .350 hitting percentage in a 3-0 win over Buffalo State. For the week she totaled 27 kills, a 4.50 kills per set average, and a .333 hitting percentage. The Golden Eagles improved to 9-9 overall and 5-1 in conference play.

Sullivan led Brockport in digs in back-to-back sweeps over SUNYAC opponents this past weekend. In a 3-0 win over Fredonia she totaled 19 digs as the Golden Eagle libero, averaging 6.33 digs per set for the match. Sullivan then tied her career-high of 23 digs in the team's 3-0 win over Buffalo State, earning 7.67 digs per set against the Bengals. She also was credited with receiving 22 serves across both matches without committing a single receiving error. Brockport is now 9-9 overall and 5-1 in conference play.
