SUNYAC Announces Men's Ice Hockey Athletes of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC selects Plattsburgh's Adam Tretowicz as the Men's Ice Hockey Player of the Week, Oswego's Cal Schell the Goaltender of the Week and Plattsburght's Tio D'Addario the Rookie of the Week.

Tretowicz turned in his best performance of the season over the weekend, as he led Plattsburgh State to an 8-2 win over Morrisville on Saturday night. The graduate student forward tallied two goals on the night and also picked up two assists while finishing with a +4 mark while on the ice. His second goal of the game proved to be the game-winner as the Cards won a conference game at home.

Schell anchored the Lakers defense to two wins over the weekend, one of them being a shutout. In Friday's 5-0 win against Fredonia, he saved 26 shots. Then, in Saturday's 5-1 win against Buffalo St., he added another 30 saves to his season totals. In his two-game stretch, Schell totaled 56 saves with a save percentage of 98.2.

First-year forward D'Addario continued his strong season on Saturday, as he notched a goal and an assist in an 8-2 win over Morrisville on Saturday. D'Addario scored his seventh goal of the year and later picked up his eighth assist, as he finished +2 for his time on the ice in the win.
