McQuade, Torgner and Flansburg Recognized with SUNYAC Men's Ice Hockey Weekly Awards

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The SUNYAC selects Matt McQuade from Oswego, Jacob Torgner from Geneseo and Spencer Flansburg from Brockport as the Men's Ice Hockey Player, Goaltender and Rookie of the Week respectively.

McQuade had himself an exciting White Out Weekend in Oswego New York. Friday night against the Potsdam Bears, McQuade secured his first hat trick of the season in a 9-0 route of the Bears. Saturday night, McQuade scored the game winning fourth goal late in the third to give the Lakers a huge conference win over rival Plattsburgh. McQuade accumulated a +4 for the weekend overall.

Torgner was dominant in the goal for the Knights in their 2-1 win over Buffalo St. Torgner only allowed one goal with 28 saves for a save percentage of .966.

Flansburg was a big part of the Golden Eagle offense this weekend earning himself another three points. Flansburg scored his first goal of the weekend against Buffalo State, ending the game +1 and recording two shots. The following night Flansburg earned the game winning goal as well as an assist and ended the night +2 with three shots recorded. Flansburg ends the weekend +3 with 3 points.
