After a 15-3 finish in regular season conference play Oneonta earned the No. 1 seed and the right to host the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Softball Championship beginning Thursday, May 1. 

The Oneonta Red Dragons will play No. 6 New Paltz Thursday at 9am. Game two of the day will feature the second seed Cortland taking on No. 5 Buffalo State at 11am. In game three will the third-seeded Brockport will face No. 4 Geneseo at 1pm.  The final game of the evening will be the loser of game one versus the loser of game two.

Game five will continue Friday, May 2 as the winner of game one will take on the loser of game three at 9am. Game 6 will feature the winners of game two versus the winner of game three at 11am. From there it will all depend on how many teams remain in the double elimination tournament. The SUNYAC Tournament will continue into Saturday with a game on Sunday if needed.

Top seeded Oneonta looks to capture its fourth SUNYAC Title and first since 2004. Cortland hopes to defend the crown as the 2013 Champions.
