Oneonta Wins SUNYAC Softball Championship

ONEONTA, N.Y. - The Oneonta Red Dragons claimed the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Softball Title for the first time in ten years and fourth time overall with an 8-0 win over SUNY Cortland Saturday, May 3, in Oneonta, N.Y.

Oneonta won the first and last game of the tournament with two wins in between to sweep the six-team, double elimination championship, 4-0. Freshman pitcher Sabrina DeAngelis led the Dragons on the mound and was named the Tournament's Most Valuable Player.
