SUNYAC selects Bouyea and Grann as its Baseball Players of the Week

The State University of New York Athletic Conference has selected Oneonta State senior Tory Bouyea and New Paltz sophomore Andrew Grann as its Player and Pitcher of the Week respectively. Both players helped lead their teams to winning records for the week.
Through the first week of the 2012 season, which includes Oneonta’s spring trip to Fort Myers, Fla., Bouyea leads Oneonta (7-6) in almost every offensive category. In 13 starts, he leads the Red Dragons in average (.420), runs (12), hits (21), RBIs (15) and OB% (.516). He also is slugging .560 after collecting a team-leading 28 total bases.
Grann won both of his starts this past week as the Hawks went 4-2 overall. He came within one out of recording a no-hitter in a 5-0 win versus Plattsburgh in which he recorded eight strikeouts. In his other start last week, Grann went seven innings with four strikeouts in a 3-2 victory against Plymouth State.
