Cortland junior pitcher Ray Angelucci (Commack) has been selected to the D3baseball.com national “Team of the Week” for the week ending April 15. The team consists of the top players for the week, by position, among all Division III schools. Angelucci is one of three starting pitchers selected to the weekly team.

Angelucci allowed only one hit, a first-inning infield single, in six scoreless innings in Cortland's 5-2 victory over Fredonia last Saturday in the first game of a doubleheader. He struck out four and walked one.

This spring, Angelucci is 7-1 with a 1.19 ERA in eight starts. He leads the Red Dragons in wins and ERA and has allowed just 28 hits in 45.1 innings pitched. Cortland (24-7-1, 10-2 SUNYAC) is ranked eighth nationally by the American Baseball Coaches Association and 13th nationally by D3baseball.com.
