Kirkby, Lenihan and Pazmandi Earn SUNYAC Women's Ice Hockey Weekly Honors

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Morrisville's Kennedy Kirkby is the SUNYAC Women's Ice Hockey Player of the Week while Canton's Molly Lenihan is the Goaltender of the Week. Plattsburgh's Zsofia Pazmandi earns Rookie of the Week honors for the fourth time this season.

Kirby led Morrisville to a 4-1 win over Arcadia Tuesday, netting three of four goals in the contest. The hat trick was the first for the senior, who finished with a +3 on-ice rating and the game winner, while posting a collegiate best performance.

Lenihan had a huge outing stopping a career-high 38 shots (.974 save %) in a 2-1 overtime win at No. 13 nationally-ranked SUNY Cortland on Wednesday in the team?s lone game of the week. The rookie stopped at least 11 shots in each of the first three periods leading the Roos to their first ranked win in program history.

Pazmandi was named to the Norwich East-West Hockey Classic All-Tournament team over the weekend, as the Cardinals won the consolation game against No. 14 Nazareth to conclude their weekend. The Cards won the overtime affair as Pazmandi notched the game-winning goal to clinch the win for Plattsburgh State.
