SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Potsdam's Megan Teachout is the SUNYAC Women's Ice Hockey Player of the week while Plattsburgh's Lilla Nease is the Goaltender of the Week and Potsdam's Jalynn Castro is the Rookie of the Week.

Teachout had four points in a 4-0 shutout of Buffalo State on Saturday. She recorded a hat trick, including one power play goal. She then assisted on the Bears' other goal.

Nease turned in an outstanding week for the Cardinals in goal, winning two games, first against No. 6 Middlebury, and then against Williams College. Against Middlebury, Nease made 20 saves and allowed just one goal, while making several outstanding saves to get Plattsburgh a big win at home. On Saturday against Williams, she followed up her performance against the Panthers with a 31-save shutout against the Ephs, notching her sixth shutout of the 2023-24 campaign.

Castro scored three goals in the two-game sweep of Buffalo State over the weekend. She scored a career-high two in a 4-2 victory on Friday. One goal came on the power play. She then added the third in a 4-0 win on Saturday.
