SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC has picked New Paltz's teammates Kaitlyn Shaw and Shannon Brosnan as the Women's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week respectively.

Shaw put up gaudy numbers in the Hawks three game winning streak. She set a career-high in goals, registering seven in a 15-9 win over St. Joseph's-LI to start the week, while leading her team in draw controls (6), adding a caused turnover. She led her team in points in a 24-4 rout of Bard, posting five goals and two assists with four ground balls, four draw controls and two caused turnovers. In an 11-6 win over Hood, Shaw led her team in points (4), tied a team-high in goals (3) and draw controls (3), while adding two caused turnovers and three ground balls.

Brosnan helped her team to three wins on the week after leading her team in caused turnovers with four, including three against St. Joseph's-LI. She helped the Hawks defense hold each opponent under 10 in each game, while also collecting 10 ground balls and eight draw controls in the stretch.
