MIDDLEBURY, V.T. – The SUNY Geneseo women's lacrosse team fell in the second round of the NCAA tournament at Middlebury, 19-4.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Alaina Reina got the scoring started for the Knights, driving through the defense and beating the goalkeeper to tie the score at 1-1 just three minutes into the action.
- Geneseo's offense fell stagnant for the next two quarters, as they couldn't find the back of the net again until the fourth quarter.
- In the final 15 minutes, Emily Salanger, Sophie Lyko, and Maira Brennan were all able to score to put together a solid performance in the final quarter from the Knights.
