Wiley and Kamide Take SUNYAC Women's Lacrosse Weekly Awards

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The SUNYAC has selected Oswego teammates Sela Wiley and Sarah Kamide as the Women's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week.

With the Lakers' two conference victories over Brockport and Plattsburgh, Wiley added another 16 points to her seasons total. She scored nine goals and earned seven assists. She also had four caused turnovers, grabbed three ground balls and won 11 draw controls. With these numbers, Wiley is still at the top of the SUNYAC in points for the fourth consecutive week. Wiley is sitting in first in the conference in assists (33) by nearly ten, points (72) by nine, ground balls (57) by ten, caused turnovers (28), shots (108) by nearly 30, is tied for first in shots on goal (73) and is fourth in ground balls (70) and goals (39).

Kamide has earned her seventh and eighth victories of the season this week and fourth and fifth conference victory. Kamide went 2-0 with a win over Brockport and Plattsburgh earning 20 saves on the week. Kamide put up a save percentage of 60.6% this and had a goals against average of 6.74 in the two games. Kamide currently leads the conference in goals against average (6.27), save percentage (55%), is third in wins (8), fourth in saves (82) and fourth in win percentage.
