Folies and Sela Tabbed SUNYAC Women's Lacrosse Athletes of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC has picked Megan Folies from Oneonta as this week's Women's Lacrosse Offensive Athlete of the Week and Oswego's Sela Wiley from Oswego as the Defensive Athlete of the Week.

Senior Foiles totaled 13 points on eight goals and five assists in Oneonta's 1-1 week. She also had nine draw controls, five groundballs, and five caused turnovers. Foiles scored two goal with two assists against No. 23 Hamilton with five draw controls and two caused turnovers. She scored six goals with three assists in the 17-6 SUNYAC win over Fredonia on Saturday. She also had four groundballs and three caused turnovers.

Wiley aided the Lakers in possessing the ball the entire week, grabbing eight ground balls and 14 total draw controls, while causing six turnovers. Wiley also added to the offensive success with a total of eight points, collecting six goal and two assists in their victories against Nazareth and New Paltz. Wiley, in the conference, is currently third in goals, second in assists (14), second in points (37), first in shots (61), third in draw controls (35) and leads the conference in caused turnovers (21).
