SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The SUNYAC picks Cortland's Amy Hoeffner as the first 2024 Women's Lacrosse Offensive Athlete of the Week and Brockport's Arianna Reed as the Defensive Athlete of the Week.

Hoeffner helped guide 23rd-ranked Cortland to a come-from-behind 11-10 overtime win in its season-opener at Skidmore on Sunday as head coach Kelsey Van Alstyne earned her 100th career victory. Hoeffner recorded a game-high seven points on three goals and four assists and added four draw controls, two ground balls and a caused turnover. Hoeffner picked up five of her points in the second half and notched the game-winning goal 1:27 into overtime.

Reed made her collegiate debut in net for Brockport in the season opening, overtime win against the University of Rochester. Facing a total of 35 shots, the freshman made 15 saves and allowed 11 goals in the contest. Reed made two clutch stops in the final minutes of regulation, including one save with just 13 seconds remaining to send the game to overtime. She picked up her first career win, as the Golden Eagles defeated the Yellowjackets, 12-11.
