Brockport Takes SUNYAC Women's Lacrosse Weekly Awards
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – SUNYAC chooses Brockport teammates Cassidy Burnash and Arianna Reed as its Women's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week respectively.
Burnash registered 12 points in two games last week, scoring six goals and dishing out six assists. To close out the regular season she had nine points on five goals and four assists against Buffalo State. Then in the first round postseason win over Oswego, Burnash had one goal and two assists in an overtime thriller. She also added four ground balls and two caused turnovers on the week.
Reed totaled 19 saves last week to finish the regular season with a win and win in the first round of the SUNYAC Tournament. In the regular season finale she made nine saves in a 20-10 win over Buffalo State. Then in the postseason matchup with Oswego she made 10 stops in the 11-10 overtime victory.
