Ladue and Atwater Earn SUNYAC Women's Lacrosse Weekly Awards

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The SUNYAC selects Potsdam's Lindsey Ladue and New Paltz's Lexi Atwater as this week's Women's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week respectively.

LaDue registered 15 points on 11 goals and four assists in a 3-0 week for the Bears. She also totaled 23 draw controls, 14 caused turnovers and 14 ground balls. She had two goals and an assist in Potsdam's season-opening 12-8 win at Morrisville on Tuesday, along with seven caused turnovers, six ground balls and three draw controls. In The Bears' 22-6 win over SUNY Poly on Thursday, she tied a career-high with seven points on four goals and three assists. She also had nine draw controls, four ground balls and two caused turnover. In Potsdam's 14-13 overtime victory against Alfred on Saturday, she also matched a personal best with five goals to go with 11 draw controls five caused turnovers and four ground balls.

Atwater is the SUNYAC Women's Lacrosse Defensive Athlete of the Week for the second time this season after she led the team with three caused turnovers, a game-high four ground balls and a game-high five draw controls. She also led the team with a career-high six goals in the 19-8 win against Maritime on Saturday.
