CORTLAND, N.Y. - On Monday morning, members of the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) began to participate in the sixth annual NCAA Division III Week celebration. Division III Week is a nationwide opportunity for all individuals associated with Division III to observe and celebrate the impact of athletics and of student-athletes on the campus and surrounding community. It also serves as a chance to call attention to the unique student-athlete experiences.
Over the next week, SUNYAC member institutions will offer a variety of opportunities on their respective campuses for student-athletes, students, administrators, and faculty to be apart of DIII Week. Additionally, every Division III school and conference office is encouraged to conduct a type of outreach activity that falls into one of three categories: academic accomplishment; athletic experience; or leadership/community service/campus involvement.
Here's a look at what some SUNYAC members have planned:
Brockport:

Buffalo State:
Student-athletes will be honored at Buffalo State's Annual Academic Luncheon on Tuesday for their committment to academics! Student-athletes will have the opportunity to invite a member of the faculty or staff that have influenced their academic careers.
Students from Jerico Road Community Center will share in a pool party with current student-athletes.

Geneseo:
