Oswego Men's Basketball Moves to No. 16; Michele Leads D-III In 3-Pt. Shooting

D3hoops.com Top 25 Men's Poll

OSWEGO, N.Y. - The Oswego State men's basketball team continued its ascent up the Top 25 D3hoops.com poll after pushing its winning streak to 10 games by moving to No. 16. The Lakers, who are 19-3 overall and 15-0 in the conference, clinched the top seed in the upcoming SUNYAC playoffs and are currently ranked second in the NCAA East Regional Rankings.

Oswego State's streak has been fueled by several factors, including three-point shooting. Senior point guard Sean Michele (East Rochester, N.Y.) currently ranks as the best three-point shooter in Division III, hitting 53.0 percent of his attempts (62-for-117) from long range.

Oswego State hosts Geneseo on Tuesday in Laker Hall before closing out the regular season at home with games against Buffalo State on Friday and Fredonia on Saturday.  Tuesday and Friday's games are slated for 8 p.m., while Saturday's game is scheduled for 4 p.m.
